Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an FM Premises Officer/Site Manager - Soft Services to join our FM segment and the team based out of Brays Academy in Sheldon, Birmingham, working 7:00am - 10:30am and 3:00pm - 6:00pm – split shift.

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating all FM services on site, ensuring the school runs safely, smoothly and without disruption, with occasional travel to other Trust sites where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering both hard and soft FM services in a live environment.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety compliance and safe systems of work.
• Experience coordinating day-to-day site operations and dealing with issues as they arise.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with school staff and stakeholders.
• Understanding of contract requirements and service standards (SLA/KPI awareness).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all FM services on site, including M&E, building fabric and caretaker duties.
• Manage subcontractor activities on site, ensuring safe works and timely delivery.
• Maintain keyholding responsibilities and overall site security.
• Ensure H&S compliance with accurate records, audits and incident reporting.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, liaising with contractors and site team.
• Receive and coordinate deliveries and support site administration and procurement processes.
