Job summary

Beaumont Primary Academy in Huddersfield is seeking a reliable Premises Assistant to support the Site Manager and help keep the school running smoothly. You will contribute to maintenance, cleaning, safety, and general site duties in a friendly team environment.

The role suits a flexible, enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills; manual handling will be part of the job, and some out-of-hours work may occur with pay. Beaumont is part of South Pennine Academies.

Qualifications

Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
Good interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
Previous experience in school facilities management is a bonus but not essential.
Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks safely using the correct equipment.

Responsibilities

Assisting with maintenance, cleaning, health and safety, and security around the school.
Helping with general site duties, including some manual handling (with equipment provided).
Tackling small decorating jobs and keeping our school looking its best.
Acting as a key holder, which means occasional out-of-hours work (with pay).
Working closely with the premises team to ensure the site is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
