Job summary

Beaumont Primary Academy in Huddersfield is seeking a reliable Premises Assistant to support the Site Manager and help keep the school running smoothly. You will contribute to maintenance, cleaning, safety, and general site duties in a friendly team environment.

The role suits a flexible, enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills; manual handling will be part of the job, and some out-of-hours work may occur with pay. Beaumont is part of South Pennine Academies.

Qualifications

• Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
• Previous experience in school facilities management is a bonus but not essential.
• Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks safely using the correct equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with maintenance, cleaning, health and safety, and security around the school.
• Helping with general site duties, including some manual handling (with equipment provided).
• Tackling small decorating jobs and keeping our school looking its best.
• Acting as a key holder, which means occasional out-of-hours work (with pay).
• Working closely with the premises team to ensure the site is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Premises Assistant to work alongside our experienced Site manager and help keep our school running smoothly. If you enjoy hands-on work, have a good eye for maintenance, and like being part of a friendly, supportive team — this could be the perfect role for you!
