Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Performing Arts Technician to support a school in Warrington. The role combines technical rigour with hands-on classroom and stage support for drama, music, and performing arts lessons and productions.

You will set up lighting, sound, and staging equipment, prep spaces, assist during rehearsals and events, and help manage equipment safely. An enhanced DBS is preferred or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical, theatre, performing arts, events, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of sound, lighting, staging, or other performing arts equipment.
• Strong practical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine interest in supporting young people and performing arts education.
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lighting, sound, staging, and other technical equipment
• Prepare performance spaces, classrooms, and rehearsal areas for lessons and productions
• Provide technical support during rehearsals, performances, and school events
• Maintain, organise, and safely store technical equipment and resources
• Carry out basic checks and report faults or maintenance requirements
• Support teachers and students with the safe use of technical equipment
• Assist with stage management, set changes, props, and production requirements
• Contribute to the smooth and safe running of school performances and events
