Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Performing Arts Technician to support a school in Warrington. The role combines technical rigour with hands-on classroom and stage support for drama, music, and performing arts lessons and productions.

You will set up lighting, sound, and staging equipment, prep spaces, assist during rehearsals and events, and help manage equipment safely. An enhanced DBS is preferred or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical, theatre, performing arts, events, or similar environment.
• Knowledge of sound, lighting, staging, or other performing arts equipment.
• Strong practical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine interest in supporting young people and performing arts education.
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

Are you passionate about the performing arts and have strong technical skills? Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to support students and staff with productions, performances, and practical lessons? We're looking for an enthusiastic and technically minded Performing Arts Technician to support a school in Warrington.

About the Role

We are seeking a Performing Arts Technician to work alongside the Drama, Music, and Performing Arts departments, providing technical and practical support for lessons, rehearsals, performances, and school productions. You'll help ensure technical equipment and performance spaces are prepared, safe, and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lighting, sound, staging, and other technical equipment

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previous experience working within a school or education setting
• Relevant qualification in Performing Arts, Theatre Production, Technical Theatre, Music, or a related subject
• Experience operating lighting and sound desks
• Experience supporting live performances, productions, concerts, or events
