Job summary

Townsville Catholic Education, at St Francis Catholic School in Ayr, seeks a School Officer – Assisting Student Learning for a fixed-term, term-time position of 27.5 hours per week. Commencement 27 January 2027, ending 3 December 2027. Salary range AUD 32.50–33.20 per hour, dependent on experience.

You will support students in the classroom, assist with learning goals, and work with teachers to track progress and provide constructive feedback, in a Catholic values framework.

Salary Range: $32.50 to $33.20 per hour pending experience

We’re looking for passionate and dedicated School Officer- Assisting Student Learning to work in a fixed term, term time capacity completing 27.5 hours per week. This position commences on 27 January 2027 and concludes on 3 December 2027.

In this role, you’ll nurture curiosity and a love of learning by providing hands‑on support in the classroom, assisting students with their individual learning goals, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. With patience, empathy, and understanding, you’ll build strong connections with students - supporting their confidence and wellbeing as they learn and grow. You’ll work closely with teachers to monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and provide meaningful feedback that encourages each learner to thrive.
