The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Nurse to join the School Nursing Service in Wolverhampton. You will work with the Whitmore Reans team to deliver a caseload-based programme of care for children and families, supporting the Healthy Child Programme in schools, health centres, or home settings.

You must be an NMC registered nurse with a health-related degree and relevant experience with children and young people.

Qualifications

• Essential: NMC Registration sub part 1/2.
• Essential: Degree Level Education (Health Related).
• Desirable: Leadership.
• Desirable: Teaching/Health Promotion or Training Qualification.
• Desirable: Sexual Health.
• Desirable: Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN).

Responsabilités

• Work as part of the School Nursing Service's team in schools with responsibility to the Matron.
• Follow Safeguarding policies and attend updates to maximise child safety.
• Undertake health reviews for Children and Young People in Care in schools.
• Develop, implement and evaluate care programmes for children, young people and families.
• Provide training to teachers and school staff and participate in teaching of students.
