Job summary

Whittington Health is seeking a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) in School Nursing for a Band 6, part-time role based in Barnet. The post covers 30 hours per week (4 days) during term time.

You will deliver the Health Child Programme (5-19), lead on health promotion and safeguarding, and work with schools, families and partners to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• RGN/RSNC registered with NMC and School Nursing qualification with entry to the 3rd part of the NMC Register.
• Experience in public health nursing and safeguarding essential.
• Proven ability to deliver health promotion and public health programmes in schools.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (5-19) in schools across Barnet.
• Coordinate and evaluate health interventions for children and young people.
• Support collaboration with parents, schools and multiagency partners.
• Provide confidential advice and health promotion in various venues.
