Job summary

GLF Schools is seeking a dedicated Music Technician for Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre. This part-time, permanent role (20 hours per week) supports the Head of Music in lessons, ICT coursework, and live events, while maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe learning environment.

The successful candidate will have experience with multi-track recording (Cubase preferred), PA setup for performances, and a relevant music technology qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-track recording and sequencing, ideally using Cubase or similar software
• Confidence in setting up and operating PA systems for live performances and rehearsals
• Practical ability to maintain and repair musical and technical equipment
• Knowledge of software installation, including VST instruments
• A flexible, conscientious and collaborative approach to supporting staff and students
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative
• A good general education including GCSEs in English and Maths
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
• A relevant qualification in music technology or production, and prior experience supporting music in an educational setting, would be desirable.

Responsibilities
