Job summary

Penistone Grammar School is seeking a School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA) to provide lunchtime supervision for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils during the 12:00pm–14:00pm lunch period, term-time only.

The role is permanent, 10 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £12.85. Experience in a similar educational setting is advantageous but not essential; candidates should have good communication skills and be able to promote positive behaviour and uphold the school values.

About the role:

You will provide lunchtime supervision of our Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students across lunch periods between 12:00pm and 14:00pm.

Experience of working in a similar role or educational setting would be advantageous but is not essential.

Candidates should:

• Be able to take a lead in promoting positive student behaviour in accordance with school policy
• Be able to challenge and encourage students as appropriate
