Job summary

Middlesbrough Development Corporation is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to support the School Meal Service across multiple Middlesbrough schools. You will wash up, clean the kitchen and serve lunchtime meals to children, with 10 hours per week during term time plus 2 extra days.

Experience in a busy catering environment is preferred but not essential; a Basic Food Hygiene course and allergen training will be provided online. A DBS check is required for the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy large-scale catering environment preferred but not essential.
• Must complete Basic Food Hygiene Course online, allergen training and other required training.
• DBS check (enhanced) required.

Responsibilities

• Wash up, clean the kitchen and serve lunchtime meals to children.
• Move between all Middlesbrough schools served by the catering service.
• Maintain dining hall cleanliness and support School Meal Service.
