Education Authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Catering Assistant to actively participate in the daily operation of the Catering Unit under the direction of the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor.

You will assist with basic food preparation and serving meals, maintain a hygienic service, and support promotion of meals to pupils and parents. The role requires working within school premises and adhering to legal requirements and the school values ethos.

Responsabilités

• Basic preparation of food and beverages, including vegetables and snacks
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food
• Organising and controlling dining service points
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils and parents
• Maintaining contact with central kitchen regarding service delivery
• Preparing the dining area (setting tables, laying cutlery, water jugs)
• Carrying out washing up and general kitchen and dining room duties
• Cleaning kitchen/servery, dining room and equipment
• Recording temperatures for control purposes
• Securing premises and completing delegated duties
• Complying with Acts/Regulations and Codes of Practice
• Carrying out duties within the scope of the job and promoting school values
