Job summary

Croft Primary School is seeking a committed maintenance officer to run the site efficiently. You will ensure security, carry out maintenance tasks and complete essential paperwork while keeping outdoor areas well maintained.

The role is 31.25 hours per week, year-round, with a permanent contract. Start date soon after DBS clearance, with some flexibility in working pattern discussed with the Headteacher.

Qualifications

• Experience in site maintenance or school premises is desirable but not essential.
• Training will be provided in health and safety and maintenance tasks.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the school site ensuring safety and security for children and staff.
• Support site security, upkeep of grounds and all relevant paperwork.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with children, staff, governors, parents and contractors.
• Manage time effectively to carry out key tasks and priorities to a compliant standard.
• Ensure the school grounds are safe and secure at all times.
