Job summary

Yeo Valley Primary School is seeking a term-time site maintenance assistant to open and secure the premises each morning and carry out routine inspections, basic maintenance, and light repairs. You will also maintain the grounds, manage meter readings, and assist contractors on site.

Hours are 7:00–10:00, Monday to Friday, during 38 weeks per year. A Full Enhanced DBS check is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the school site each day.
• Carry out routine site inspections and basic maintenance.
• Undertake general repairs and minor improvements around the school.
• Maintain the school grounds, including grass cutting and seasonal duties.
• Take and record meter readings.
• Shovel snow and grit paths and car parks when required.
• Support contractors and visitors on site.
• Ensure premises remain clean, safe and compliant with health and safety requirements.

Job description
