Job summary

Ark Alexandra Academy in Hastings seeks a Chef Supervisor to lead a catering team, preparing meals to the academy’s standards under direction from the Operations Manager. The role is term-time plus two weeks in holidays, with pay spread across the year.

You will manage food prep, cooking and presentation, ensure kitchen cleanliness and deliver a high standard of service to staff and students.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy kitchen.
• Health & safety and/or food hygiene qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Able to supervise and lead a catering team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food meeting school standards under guidance.
• Supervise catering team and ensure high standards of food prep and kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintain high standard of catering service across kitchen and dining areas.
• Interact with staff and students in a professional, calm manner.
