Job summary

Enhance Catering is recruiting a Chef Manager to support a primary school in Scarborough. You will lead a small kitchen team, deliver high-quality meals from fresh ingredients, and ensure excellent standards of food safety and hygiene.

You will manage 1 team member, cater for around 150 covers daily, and drive quality, stock control and kitchen organisation. The role is 35 hours per week, term-time (39 weeks). Benefits include access to discounts and industry qualifications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on chef with people-management skills to lead a small catering team.
• Experience catering for approx. 150 covers daily with fresh, seasonal food.
• Strong focus on food safety, health & safety, and due diligence.
• Able to work 35 hours per week; term-time only (39 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 1 team member.

• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal food to a consistently high standard.
• Manage, motivate, and develop a small catering team.
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety, health & safety, and due diligence requirements.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with onsite stakeholders and clients.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation.
• Drive food quality, consistency, and presentation.
