Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. Farnham is seeking a creative Sous Chef to join our team, handling daily food preparation for a 52-week contract at one of our school locations in Farnham. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with daytime hours and free on-site parking.

The role requires delivering meals to high standards, maintaining hygiene and safety, stocking, and assisting in ordering, with opportunities for training and career progression within a leading contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Experience as sous chef or in a similar catering role.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations in food service.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food service areas for the day’s business.
• Ensure prompt service and maintain company standards.
• Prepare, set up, serve, and store food and equipment.
• Restock stocks and monitor levels during service.
• Keep kitchen and service areas clean and hygienic.
• Assist with ordering and stock movement.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
