Holroyd Howe is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter/Assistant to join the school kitchen team. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in a food-led education setting.

You will support chefs with basic food prep, help with stock deliveries, and ensure hygiene and sanitation standards are met. This role requires a proactive team player ready to learn within an education catering environment.

Qualifications

• A keen interest in food and cooking.
• Good attention to detail and hygiene practices.
• Team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
• Previous kitchen experience or relevant training is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to work in an education or high-profile catering environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Assist chefs with basic food prep and stock deliveries.
• Operate dishwashers and ensure proper sanitation practices.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Support daily kitchen operations and setup for service.
• Champion allergen controls and safety procedures.
