Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd is recruiting a Kitchen Porter for our Winchester site, a leading independent boarding and day school catering for 900+ students and staff. The role is Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30, 40 hours per week, on a full-time permanent contract.

You will help keep the kitchen hygienic, support chefs with food prep, operate the dishwasher and maintain equipment, with opportunities for training and career progression within our long-standing catering operation.

Qualifications

• Experience of pot wash duties is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Great team player.
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
• Operate industrial dishwasher.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding of verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen hygienic and safe to high standards.
• Help with cleaning and sanitising areas.
• Wash pots, dishes and kitchen equipment.
• Support chefs with food preparation as needed.
