Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for South Ascot primary school in Ascot. The role is term-time only with no weekends, offering flexibility and 25 hours per week at £13.52 per hour.

You will lead food preparation to high standards, ensure Health and Safety compliance, manage budgets and inventories, and train staff while acting as the main client contact at the school. This position emphasizes safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Catering NVQ level 2 or equivalent is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations are met.
• Uphold Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service with client and customers.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location; supervise teams, inventories, budgets, and action plans.
• Be the main point of contact for the client in school; implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager to ensure targets are met.
• Train and support teams, lead from the front to ensure high performance.
