Job summary

Emersons Green Primary School in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Unit Manager to lead our school catering service and provide nutritious meals for pupils. The role is 30 hours per week, term time only, with a fixed early afternoon finish.

The salary is based on Grade 11, with actual pay reflecting hours worked. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth lunch service, promote healthy eating, and maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Qualifications

• experience of working in a school kitchen environment
• support the kitchen manager in running an effective lunch service
• assist in the promotion of healthy eating
• flexible and able to adapt to ensure a smooth running of our lunch service
• communicate well with children and staff
