Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking a dedicated Chef Manager to lead a busy school kitchen, delivering fresh, nutritious meals to students and staff. You will manage a kitchen team, ensure food safety and allergen controls, and provide catering for school events.

The ideal candidate will hold a current DBS certificate or be willing to apply, and possess Food Hygiene Level 2/3 or be prepared to train. This role offers term-time hours, with a 30-hour week and a Monday-to-Friday pattern.

Qualifications

• Must have a current DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
• Previous catering experience, ideally in education or high-volume environments.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 & 3 qualified (or willing to train).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance.
• Motivated, organised, and able to inspire a team.
• Passionate about food and delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals using fresh ingredients.
• Lead and support the kitchen team.
• Maintain Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health & Safety standards.
• Provide catering for school events and hospitality requests.
