Emersons Green Primary School is seeking a Kitchen Unit Manager / Cook In Charge to lead our school catering service. The role requires overseeing lunch service, promoting healthy eating, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during term time.

The successful candidate will have school kitchen experience and good communication with pupils and staff, working 30 hours per week (8:30am–2:30pm). This permanent post offers term-time employment and a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a school kitchen environment.
• Can support the kitchen manager in running an effective lunch service.
• Can assist in promoting healthy eating and nutrition.
• Flexible and able to adapt to ensure smooth running of the lunch service.
• Communicates well with children and staff.
