Job summary

Sodexo at All Souls Catholic Primary School in Coventry is seeking a Cook Manager to oversee all aspects of school catering. You’ll manage the kitchen’s food and financials, ensure top-tier service, and lead a team to deliver consistent, high-quality meals for 100–1300 students.

Mondays to Fridays during term time with holidays; strong leadership and safety focus required. The role offers competitive pay (£14.50 per hour) and a comprehensive benefits package through Sodexo, including training

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for 100–1300 students.
• Experience following recipes in a similar setting.
• Experience supervising staff or line management.
• Experience working with fresh produce and ingredients.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage replenishment of food and end-of-service dismantling.
• Mentor, train, and inspire kitchen team.
• Control catering operations including labour, food and stock costs.
• Manage and optimise costs under your control.
• Ensure consistent food and service standards for staff, visitors and students.
• Create and develop school menus.
• Conduct routine audits to ensure standards are followed.
