Job summary

Impact Food Group is seeking a Cook Manager at Bramhope Primary School in Leeds to lead a kitchen team and deliver fresh, seasonal meals for students during term time. The role encompasses hands-on kitchen management, staff leadership, menu planning, and ensuring food hygiene standards are met.

Working hours are 7:30am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday, across 39 weeks per year. Salary is £23,058.75 per annum, with benefits including a free meal on shift, uniform provision, and opportunities for training

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a kitchen, ideally in schools or high-volume catering environments.
• Skilled in preparing fresh, seasonal food.
• Strong people management and team leadership skills.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with pride in maintaining high standards.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Lead, motivate and develop the catering team.
• Prepare and serve fresh, seasonal meals for the school.
• Plan menus, manage stock and ensure food safety compliance.
• Liaise with onsite clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure service runs smoothly and efficiently.
