Job summary

Wolborough Church of England Nursery and Primary School is seeking a dedicated catering assistant to join our busy school kitchen. This permanent role is 30 hours per week, starting as soon as possible in September, and will be based on site at Wolborough.

You will help produce safe, high-quality meals, manage stock, order supplies, and assist with dining room service for pupils and staff. Previous catering experience is essential, and you should enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is essential.
• Ideal: experience in a school or commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Managing the production of safe food in a hygienic environment.
• Direct management of planning, production, cooking, cleaning, preparation of the dining room and service procedures.
• Provide for special dietary requirements and ensure the menu meets nutritional standards.
• Ensure correct type and quality of food is cooked for serving times with good portion and temperature control.
• Receive deliveries and ensure safe, hygienic storage with stock rotation.
• Set up food service trolleys and counters and serve food to pupils and staff.
