Job summary

Grove Wood Primary School seeks an experienced Catering Manager to lead the kitchen team and deliver nutritious meals for around 450 daily meals. This part-time role runs 32.5 hours a week, typically 7.30am–2.30pm, term time plus one week, with supportive leadership from an Assistant Catering Manager.

You will handle food orders, safety records, and stock takes, while maintaining high standards of service in a busy but rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, ideally within a school environment.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small kitchen team.
• Current level 3 Food Hygiene and Allergen certificate, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Order food and manage stock levels.
• Maintain food safety records and monthly checks.
• Assist in budget control and paperwork completion.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and efficient service.
