Job summary

Enhance Catering is recruiting a Chef Manager to support the catering operation at a SEN & Primary School in Walsall. This hands-on role leads a small team, prepares fresh seasonal meals, and ensures food safety and quality.

The role offers 39 weeks (term time) and 35 hours per week, with a pay rate of £24,900 per annum and benefits including DBS and access to industry qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small catering team.
• Ability to produce high-quality meals from fresh ingredients.
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Experience in a school or large-site catering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a 4-person kitchen team.
• Cater for approx. 300 covers daily.
• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal meals.
• Ensure food safety and due diligence compliance.
• Maintain stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Liaise with onsite stakeholders and clients.
• Oversee ordering and kitchen planning.
• Drive quality and presentation.
