Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking enthusiastic and reliable General Assistant to support day-to-day food and service delivery across the school. This role ensures pupils, staff, and visitors receive high-quality, nutritious meals served with care and efficiency.

You will join a leading contract caterer delivering fresh cuisine to independent schools, with a strong focus on allergen controls, safety, and customer service. Right to work in UK required.

Qualifications

• Ideally experience in contract or high-volume catering.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude and customer-focused.
• Be enthusiastic and well-organised.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and teamwork.
• Able to adapt to changing shifts and demands.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, service, and presentation of food to a high standard.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas.
• Assist with food labelling, temperature checks, and allergen controls.
• Provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors.
• Set up and clear service areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Follow all food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Contribute to hospitality events and occasional out-of-hours functions.
• Follow allergen controls diligently.
