The Supply Register is seeking a Deputy Catering Assistant for a school in Sparkbrook, Birmingham. You will support the day-to-day running of the school kitchen alongside the catering team, ensuring smooth and efficient service during the morning and afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or catering experience is essential.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• Experience with ordering, stock control and catering paperwork is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the school kitchen
• Assisting with food preparation and general kitchen duties
• Placing food and catering orders
• Completing catering paperwork and maintaining relevant records
• Supporting with stock control and monitoring supplies
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety
• Supporting the wider catering team as required
• Providing catering support for school events, including after-school events such as awards evenings
