Job summary

Derbyshire Catering Service is recruiting a Catering Assistant to support the kitchen team at Little Eaton Primary School. You will be a valued member of the unit, involved in food preparation, cooking, portion control, and helping with dining room preparation.

You will help ensure hygiene and safety in line with regulations, work as part of a friendly team, and demonstrate an attitude suitable to a school environment. NVQ food hygiene certificate is required on appointment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment.
• Ability to work as part of a kitchen team.
• Attention to food hygiene and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and cooking for school meals.

• Preparing the dining room for service and serving meals.
