Job summary

Sodexo at Derwent School in Henlow seeks a Cook to support the Cook Manager in all food and beverage operations within the school kitchen. You will showcase school meals, manage portions and maintain hygiene standards, while enjoying paid breaks and public holidays off.

You will prepare meals for 100–1300 students, follow recipes, and ensure food is presented to high standards. The role requires teamwork and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on cooking experience.
• Training on Food Hygiene and Health & Safety provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, present and serve food to high standards across meals.
• Adhere to Food safety, Health & Safety, Allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP.
• Train catering staff in craft/skills.
