Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook at St Thomas More Catholic School & Sixth Form College in Nuneaton. The role focuses on supporting the Cook Manager in delivering high-quality meals for the school, with attention to hygiene and presentation.

You will follow recipes, handle fresh ingredients, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience for students and staff while maintaining safe kitchen practices. This is a term-time, 39-week contract with evenings and holidays off where possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on cooking experience.
• Training on Food Hygiene and Health & Safety will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, present and serve food to company standards (breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, hospitality).
• Adhere to Food safety, Health & Safety, Allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP regulations.
• Carry out catering staff craft/skills training.
• Ensure counters and food are presented to company standards.
• Portion dishes according to business requirements.
• Complete daily/weekly cleaning duties in all food prep and storage areas.
• Deliver high standards in customer service and cleanliness.
