Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking a positive Cook 1 (General Assistant) to prepare and serve meals in a school kitchen. The role involves kitchen duties, dining room setup, cash handling and completing electronic paperwork, with full training provided where needed.

Hours are 17 per week across 38 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, 10:21 am to 1:45 pm. PVG checks are required and the rate starts at £13.74 per hour.

Qualifications

• This post requires no prior experience; full training will be provided.
• You will receive Basic Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness training.
