Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting an ambitious Chef to join our education catering team on a 22.5 hour per week contract. You will prepare high-quality food, oversee menus, and help deliver exceptional service across our client sites in the UK.

The ideal candidate has City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, a Food Hygiene certificate, and prior experience supervising a kitchen.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to continually improve service.
• Support creation of new menus and creative concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
