Job summary

Chartwells Independent is hiring a Chef on a permanent casual basis contracted to 0 hours per week, with 42.6 weeks per year. You will prepare delicious, high-quality food and lead kitchen operations to meet client expectations, while contributing to menu development and service improvements.

The ideal candidate holds City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ; has a Food Hygiene certificate, and experience supervising a kitchen team. Flexibility in working patterns is essential in this role.

• Proven culinary ability with a passion for food quality.
• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen environment.
• Food hygiene and safety knowledge and certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services and customer satisfaction.
• Listen to feedback to continuously enhance offerings.
• Assist with new menus and creative concepts.
• Represent Chartwells and uphold brand image.
• Monitor inventory to keep kitchens stocked.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with health regulations.
