Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a Chef for a part-time role contracted to 24 hours per week. You will prepare and serve high-quality food that delights clients and customers, while supporting menu changes and new concepts in a market-leading UK food service company.

Ideal candidates are passionate about great food, hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ, have experience supervising a team, and hold a Food Hygiene certificate. A flexible approach to shifts is essential.

• Experience supervising a team in a kitchen environment.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Flexible approach to working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services.
• Listening to customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting creation of new menus and concepts.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with food handling, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
