Job summary

Aspens Services in Backwell, Bristol, is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen during school service and help with basic food preparation. You will deliver friendly service to pupils and staff in a busy school environment.

Work is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday during school term time, with full training provided. DBS disclosure may be required to support safeguarding in our education settings.

Qualifications

• Team player able to work in a busy school catering environment.
• Previous catering or fast-paced service experience.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• The Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is beneficial but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite customer service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen and health and safety compliance.
