Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen with basic food preparation and to help the lunchtime service run smoothly.

You’ll work in a busy school environment, delivering friendly service and maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards. Training is provided, with DBS checks as part of safeguarding. This role follows school term-time hours.

Qualifications

• Team player, thrives in a busy school catering environment.
• Previous catering or fast-paced service experience.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (full training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite customer service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and Health and Safety compliance.
