Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking an Assistant Cook for a school setting to bring our menus to life and deliver nutritious, appealing meals for students and staff. You will focus on high-quality food and service, ensuring compliance with all standards.

Role offers term-time hours (25 hours/week, 38 weeks/year) at £13 per hour, with DBS disclosure and training opportunities to help you grow within a growing catering group.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of education catering and experience with fresh ingredients.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices; Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (training provided).
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menus using provided recipes and ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health & Safety standards.
• Assist with hospitality requests for clients and events.
• Develop relationships with school clients and students.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
