Job summary

East Ayrshire Council is seeking a motivated individual to assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans. The role covers sites across East Ayrshire, with the position based at Galston Primary School.

The post is permanent and part-time (15 hours weekly), with Monday to Wednesday shifts 8.30am to 1.45pm, term-time only, and an hourly rate of £13.95–£14.12. PVG scheme membership is required before any offer of employment.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme membership required for regulated work with children and/or protected adults.
• Provide details of two appropriate and relevant references, one from your current or most recent employer, with the current or most recent employer reference from an appropriate senior manager.
• This is a permanent part-time post based at Galston Primary School and is term-time only.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans.
• Work across East Ayrshire establishments to support the Council's Community Plan objectives.
• Follow Safer Recruitment guidance during the application process and provide references as requested.
