Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a kitchen assistant at Chryston High School to prepare and cook meals, order supplies and serve meals. This role requires an Elementary Hygiene Certificate and PVG scheme membership.

You will work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 14:30. You will need good communication, basic cash handling and stock control experience, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must have Elementary Hygiene Certificate and PVG Scheme membership.
• Experience of food preparation and cooking essential.
• Good communicator with cash handling, stock taking and basic paperwork experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals and beverages for pupils and staff.
• Order supplies and manage provisions for service.
• Organise meal serving and cash handling as required.
