North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a kitchen assistant at Chryston High School to prepare and cook meals, order supplies and serve meals. This role requires an Elementary Hygiene Certificate and PVG scheme membership.
You will work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 14:30. You will need good communication, basic cash handling and stock control experience, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Based within Chryston High School, Chryston you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food and beverages, ordering supplies and provisions and organising meal serving.
You must have an Elementary Hygiene Certificate and relevant experience of food preparation. You will have knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations and be a good communicator, with good cooking skills. Experience of cash handling, stock taking and basic paperwork is essential.
You will be an enthusiastic and conscientious team player with the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
32.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 07:30 till 14:30pm (30 mins unpaid break)
