Job summary

All Saints' C of E (VC) Primary School in Heybridge is seeking an Assistant Cook to support the catering team. The role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 2.00 pm, term time only.

You will assist in meal preparation and serving, help with equipment use and care, and ensure kitchen hygiene and safeguarding procedures are followed. The successful candidate will be motivated, adaptable and a team player.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is preferred.
• Ability to work in a school environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals at lunchtimes.
• Manage use and care of kitchen equipment.
• Ensure staff and kitchen hygiene requirements are met.
• Comply with safeguarding and school policies.
