Job summary

All Saints' C of E (VC) Primary School in Heybridge is seeking an Assistant Cook to support the catering team. The role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 2.00 pm, term time only.

You will assist in meal preparation and serving, help with equipment use and care, and ensure kitchen hygiene and safeguarding procedures are followed. The successful candidate will be motivated, adaptable and a team player.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is preferred.
• Ability to work in a school environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare.

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Cook to support our catering team. The successful applicant will be positive, hard-working and share our school values., Main duties will include assisting in the preparation and serving of meals at lunchtime, managing use and care of equipment, ensuring staff and kitchen hygiene requirements are met, working in compliance with Benedict's Law and ensuring any other reasonable tasks are met as directed by the Catering Manager.
