Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking a Catering Assistant for Ysgol Gymraeg Gwynllyw within the Schools Catering Team. The role covers all kitchen areas—from preparing and serving meals to cleaning the kitchen and dining hall, running cashless tills, and keeping records. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.

The post is 12.5 hours in a busy kitchen, with DBS checks as part of screening; the role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in all areas of the kitchen to meet required standards
• Prepare food
• Serve meals
• Clean the kitchen and dining hall
• Operate the cashless catering tills
• Observe hygiene and health and safety procedures
• Use kitchen equipment safely and correctly
• Complete any training the Catering Manager considers necessary
• Keep full and accurate records in the books and forms set by the Catering Department
