Job summary

Latchmere School in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to work 20 hours per week on a term-time only basis (38 weeks plus 5.6 weeks paid holiday, paid monthly). You will assist the Kitchen Manager in serving, preparing and cooking meals, maintaining hygiene and food safety standards, and supporting kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires passion for cooking, some baking experience, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen Manager and staff in preparing meals
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Latchmere School 20 hours per week on a term time only basis (38 working weeks +5.6 weeks paid holiday =43.6 weeks paid equally over 12 monthly payments) . The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen staff in ,serving, preparing and cooking meals, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, some baking experience and excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kitchen and kitchen staff in preparing meals
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Assist with stock management and ordering supplies
