Job summary

Berkeley Scott is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to work in a school setting in Surrey. This role offers an immediate start and regular school catering shifts, with weekly pay and ongoing opportunities.

You will assist with food preparation, meal service, and keep the kitchen clean and compliant with food safety rules. DBS check and references are required, and Food Safety Level 2 / Allergen certificates are preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Assisting with food preparation and serving

What You Will Be Doing

As a Kitchen Assistant, your duties will include:

• Assisting with food preparation and serving
• Supporting the kitchen team with daily catering duties

Requirements

To be considered for this Kitchen Assistant role, you will need:

• Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or food service environment is desirable
• Enhanced DBS – required
• 2 references – required
• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate – required or willingness to obtain
• Food Allergen Certificate – required or willingness to obtain
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling
• Excellent reliability and timekeeping
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy school environment
• Professional and responsible approach when working within a school
