Job summary

Smile Education is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to join a friendly school catering team in Hyde. This part-time role offers term-time hours and fits around family or other commitments.

You will assist with food preparation, serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and support the team during busy lunch periods while following food safety procedures. DBS checks are desirable or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, catering, or school catering experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and serving meals to pupils and staff.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen.
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Supporting the catering team during busy lunch periods.
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures at all times.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is advantageous (or willingness to obtain one) !!!!
