Job description

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted for 25 hours per week. You will be part of a team that takes pride in their food, their brand, and most importantly, their people. We offer opportunities for progression within a company that invests in its employees and celebrates individuality.

Shift Pattern:
  • Monday to Friday: Full-time (Days)
  • Saturday and Sunday: No shifts scheduled

Please note: This role is contracted for 43 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing high-quality, delicious food that delights our clients and customers
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas
  • Ensuring proper use of all machinery and equipment
  • Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries and supply vehicles
  • Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
  • Adhering to Health & Safety regulations
  • Managing pressure, prioritizing tasks, and communicating effectively at all levels
  • Being an excellent team player
  • Demonstrating an organized and committed approach
  • Having a desire to succeed and the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to work shifts
  • Exhibiting exceptional timekeeping and reliability
